Jio GigaFiber to be Commercially launched on 12th August 2019. In the previous year, Reliance unveiled the service and started the Trial which got a huge success. Reliance Industries, the parent company of Reliance Jio will now launch the service in it’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The company want to provide this service Pan India in 1100+ cities. The service includes High-Speed Broadband, TV, Landline & smart home solutions. The service is expected to upend the fixed-line broadband sector in India the same way Jio revolutionized the mobile telephony industry in the country over the past few years.
According to some reports, Reliance Jio may launch two plans. One with 50Mbps internet, voice calls and TV service will start only at Rs. 600 per month, while the faster, 100Mbps connection will cost Rs. 1,000. The company brought a new version of its Optical Network Terminal (ONT) device which will be more cheaper. Security deposit for this device will be ₹2,500 which will provide 1,100GB of 50Mbps data per month instead of the 100Mbps offered by the costlier option
